They can even combine solar panels and grazing fields — the animals will love eating in the shade on those hot summer days.

Those are five trends like smart turf. Others include growing crops in a controlled environment, like aeroponic farming, using blockchain for farming, and using the Internet of Things. There are a lot of options.

As we move into the other half of the 2020s, technology is only going to become even more prevalent over the years. While humans will be needed to ensure overall quality, automation will become the standard, not the exception.
